What to do when both bathtub and toilet are clogged?

Hey folks! I messed up a bit while cleaning yesterday. I flushed some disposable wipes down the toilet, and now it's partially clogged—the water drains away, but much slower than usual. Then, when I went to take a shower, the tub wouldn't drain at all! Normally, I'd just clean out the hair from the filter, but this time it was totally blocked with who knows what. I'm getting worried that the main pipe could be blocked. I'm not sure how serious this is since my toilet still drains slowly. Should I try to fix this myself or just call a plumber? Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, it sounds like it might be time to call a plumber. With both the toilet and the shower backing up, the blockage could be deeper in the main line. I know that can be pricey, but it’s better than risking further damage or an even bigger mess! If you’re feeling adventurous, you could try using a proper toilet plunger or even snake the drain yourself if you're up to it. Just make sure to be careful!

Have you tried plunging the shower drain? Sometimes that can help loosen things up. Just make sure you’re using a good plunger. If you have a drain snake, that might work too, but it can be tricky and might cost you more than just hiring a plumber! Also, don't forget—if things get too messy, definitely go for the professional help before it gets worse!

Yeah, a good plunger can really do wonders! Just make sure you get the right one for toilets, those big rubber plungers work best. Good luck!
