Hey everyone! I'm trying to download DaVinci Resolve on my Windows 11 laptop, but I'm running into a bit of a hiccup. It asks me to choose between "Windows x86" or "Windows ARM". I've checked by pressing the Windows button and 'R' together, but it just shows that I have Windows 11. I've also looked through the settings under 'About', but I'm still confused. Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks!

Most likely, you’re on an x86 machine. If there's a sticker on your laptop, what does it say? If it mentions Intel or AMD, you're in the clear. If there's a folder labeled 'Program Files (x86)', that's another good sign!
Unless you specifically purchased an ARM laptop, it’s probably x86. For most of us, the common CPUs are either Intel or AMD, which are both x86. Just to be safe, you can double-check by going to 'This Computer', clicking on C:, and looking for the 'Program Files (x86)' folder.
Good point! You can also find this info by using the 'System Information' app—just search for it and look for 'System Type'. That’ll tell you exactly what you have.
Go to your settings, then navigate to System and click on 'About'. Check the processor line—if it mentions Intel or AMD, you're good for x86. If it says 'ARM-based processor', then you're on ARM.

Yep, unless it mentions Qualcomm or something unusual, it's safe to stick with the x86 version!
