Best Way to Mount a Mirror in a Rental Without Drilling?

Hey everyone! I just got this awesome traffic mirror as a gift, and I'm really excited to hang it up, but there's a catch. I live in a rental, and I doubt my landlord would be cool with me drilling holes in the walls. I tried using mounting tape, but it fell off in the middle of the night and scared the heck out of me! Any suggestions on how to mount it securely without causing damage?

You might want to consider using strong, removable adhesive hooks or even a freestanding stand if that fits your space. It’s a lot less hassle and you won’t risk your landlord’s wrath!

If your mirror isn't super heavy, I recommend checking out those 3M Command hangers. I've used them for big picture frames (like 3x5 feet), and they’ve held up for years without any issues. Just make sure to follow the weight recommendations. They should work great for your mirror too!

Try the Velcro strips from Command that can hold up to 20 lbs. If your mirror is heavier than that, you could use some wire across the back and drill just a single hole into a stud, but only if you want to risk it. Another option is to get creative with big command hooks—just remember to keep the pull tab accessible for when you eventually want to take it down!

I like the idea of using hooks, but I'm a bit nervous. My walls have this weird texture that might not hold the hooks well. Anyone experienced with that?
