How to Tackle Fungus Gnats in Potted Plants?

Hey fellow plant parents! I've been dealing with fungus gnats lately. I've switched to bottom watering, which has really helped, but there are still a few pesky ones hanging around. I've also tried spraying the surface soil with Sevin insect killer. I'm considering getting a butterwort plant to help manage them. What solutions or tips do you all have? I need to solve this problem before my wife insists I get rid of my precious plants!

If they’re really bothering you, get your vacuum out. Just bang the pot a little and then vacuum them up. After that, treat the plants with a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution to tackle any remaining larvae in the soil. It works wonders!

Have you tried using biological larvicides? Products like "mosquito bits" are effective against gnats, and you can usually find them at your local store or order some concentrated liquid online.

Stick some yellow traps in the pots! Those little traps catch the adults pretty well, plus they add a pop of color. A butterwort would also be a fun addition; it's a cute carnivorous plant that could help with the gnat problem.
