Hey everyone! I'm really struggling with electronics and could use some of your expertise. I'm trying to build a pair of night vision goggles inspired by this Kipkay video I watched ages ago. I've got some components: the viewfinder from a Canon UC8Hi camcorder, a low-light camera, and 20 infrared LEDs. I basically know that I need power, a switch, and some resistors, but I'm completely lost on how the circuit should be set up. Any guidance would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a fun project! Your low-light camera outputs CVBS, which is good, but make sure the viewfinder can actually receive that signal. You’ll want to power everything with about 6V. For the IR LEDs, you should wire them in series with some resistors to limit the current; be cautious because too much current will drain your battery quickly. A 2S lithium setup could work well for this, giving you the voltage you need. Make sure to test each part of your circuit individually before putting everything together! Good luck!

Thanks for this! I’ll definitely test each part separately. I'll check the specs on both the camera and viewfinder to make sure they’re compatible. Appreciate your help!
