I've noticed that when I close my blinds during the day, a lot of light still manages to seep through. Even with the blinds completely shut, my room gets really bright. Does anyone have suggestions for how to achieve less light passing through? Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like your current blinds might not be designed for total darkness. I suggest switching to blackout blinds or roman shades for better light control. Also, remember to measure your windows carefully before ordering to minimize gaps.
Have you thought about getting blackout curtains? They do a great job of keeping the light out compared to regular blinds. You could also look into blackout shades or heavier curtains if you want to darken the room even more.
Rolled shades or room darkening blinds can be really effective, too! Just make sure they fit snugly in your window frame. And if you're super serious about blocking light, layering with blackout curtains could really do the trick.
