I've got a bit of a disaster on my hands – my paved courtyard garden has flooded with sewage, and that's where all my fruit plants are! Everything's in pots, but right now, the drainage holes are submerged in the mess. My new raspberry canes are just starting to pop up, and there are a few leaves on the strawberry plants, but no fruits or flowers yet. I'm really worried about the impact on my plants. Has anyone dealt with something like this? Any advice on what I should do?

You're not as doomed as you think! Your plants could bounce back, especially since they’re in pots. It's really important to get in touch with your water company to sort out the sewage issue – it sounds like a bigger problem that might need a professional clean-up. I had a similar mess in my garden before, and once they fixed it, my plants actually did way better than I expected. Don’t lose hope!
Have they sorted out the flooding yet? If not, definitely reach out to your water company or even the local council for help. They might only handle public areas, but they can still give you some solid advice on cleaning up afterwards. It's crucial to tackle the issue before it gets worse!

Yeah, someone came to check it out but couldn’t fix it last night because it was too dark. They're supposed to return in the morning. The cleaning crew isn't responsible for the clean-up, just fixing the blockage. The management company should technically handle our communal drains, but they’re really not great at responding. They told me to just junk anything that seems damaged and claim it on insurance… ugh!
