Is it Too Early to Scarify My Lawn?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about scarifying my lawn tomorrow since the weather looks nice and I have a day off. There's a lot of moss that has built up over the winter, and I want to tackle it. However, I'm a bit worried it might be too early in the season. I'm located in Winchester, Hampshire, UK, and I'm new to lawn care. Any advice would be appreciated!

You really want to wait for consistent temperatures above 7°C to let the grass grow properly. If you can hold off until the end of this month, your lawn will bounce back quicker and you'll have fewer weeds to deal with.

It’s probably a tad early for scarifying, but you could use a high iron liquid on your grass and moss first. That can help kill off the moss, making it easier to scrape up later, plus it gives your grass a little boost.
