Best Method to Enlarge a 1/2″ Hole to 5/8″ in Stainless Steel?

I'm working on a project involving a piece of 304 stainless steel and need to enlarge a 1/2" diameter hole to 5/8". I'm aiming for a clean finish with minimal deburring. Should I go for a Unibit, a reamer, or another tool? What do you recommend?

I’d recommend using a stepped drill bit for this. They’re great because they self-center and will give you a nice clean hole. Plus, they require less deburring compared to other options!

Yeah, I agree. Stepped bits make it easier and faster, especially for stainless.
