Should I Get a Fan for Cooking in a Hot Kitchen?

I'm someone who likes to cook at night when it's quieter, but my dad insists on keeping the heat on, even during summer nights. This makes cooking really uncomfortable for me. I was thinking about getting a fan to make things more bearable. Should I go for a tower fan that I can move around, like this one I found on Amazon, or would a window fan be a better option, even though it would be right by my kitchen sink? I'm just trying to figure out the best approach here!

Wow, so your dad really keeps the heat on in the summer? That sounds rough. I think a tower fan would be your best bet since it's portable. You can use it when cooking and then easily store it away. The window fan might be a hassle to install and could get in the way whereas the tower fan can just be set aside when not in use.

It's true! I installed a window fan in my bedroom and it wasn't hard at all, but I can see why you might not want it in a tight space like the kitchen.

How about getting your dad a heated blanket instead? That way, he can stay warm without heating up the entire house!

For real! Why make everyone else suffer just because he wants it hot? That’s a bit over the top, right? Lol

I prefer using a heated mattress pad too. It keeps you cozy without blasting the whole room with heat.
