I'm looking to raise my bed by about a foot to create storage space underneath for plastic bins. The bed currently has 7 legs: one small middle leg, two slightly larger side legs, two round legs at the ends (all around 2.8 inches or shorter), and wider rectangular legs at the headboard that are approximately 3.5 inches wide. My challenge is finding replacement legs that are both tall enough and wide enough to support the bed. Most legs come in sets of four, which complicates things. I'm considering replacing the legs for the middle and ends, but I also need something sturdy for the headboard that can properly support the weight without slipping. I'm open to advice on other options or considerations, and my budget is up to $150 for this project. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Instead of buying new legs, consider building a platform with 2x4s or cinder blocks. It's actually a lot stronger and way easier than trying to find mismatched legs. You could stack cinder blocks for height—about $30 for some blocks that will give you around 16 inches of lift. Or, if you're keeping up appearances, you can use 2x4s to create a nicer-looking frame.
I built my bed using some IKEA Kallax chests as the base and it turned out great! Not only does it give you height for storage, but it also creates a cozy little nook under the bed. Just keep in mind that it'll make your bed quite tall, so you might want some stairs to make climbing in easier!
You might want to check out bed risers! They're like truncated pyramids with a spot for your bed legs to fit into. You can grab them online pretty cheap—around $9 for a pack of four. They're super easy to use and should do the trick without the hassle of new legs.
I did this years ago, and they’ve held up really well for me. Definitely worth considering!

I like the idea of a platform! Just stacking cinder blocks might work for weight, but you'll need them to look good too. Going for a 1-foot height is key, so keep that in mind if you decide to build.
