Need Help Connecting My Portable Washing Machine to Bathroom Water Supply

Hey everyone! I recently picked up a portable washing machine and I'm trying to connect it to my bathroom's water supply line. I've bought a T valve and a hose, but I'm having trouble because it seems like the hose is too big for the valve. The valve works and the water flows, but the part where I need to turn it on and off is too small for the hose. Did I get the wrong adapter, or do I need something else to make the connection work? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you might need a fitting that can bridge the gap between your T valve and the hose. You could check out something like a compression adapter or even a 90-degree elbow fitting. These are usually found in the plumbing aisle, so just ask someone at Home Depot for help if you're unsure. They can usually point you to the right spot!

Yeah, the folks at Home Depot usually know their stuff! You should be fine.

That's a good idea! I found similar fittings at Home Depot without much trouble.

You might also want to consider getting a hose that converts from your T valve's size to what you need. It's sometimes easier to find a hose that fits instead of trying to force something that doesn’t. Good luck!

That’s a solid suggestion! I usually look for those on the washing machine plumbing shelf.

Definitely check that out. It saved me a ton of hassle!
