Small Light Holes in Attic: Do I Need to Fix Them?

I noticed some small beams of light coming through the attic sidewall the other day, specifically two tiny slits around the plywood. I'm curious if these need to be repaired or if it's even necessary, as there doesn't seem to be any water damage or signs of animal activity. Additionally, I came across a larger hole that looks like it might have been chewed out at some point during the previous owner's time. I haven't heard any unusual noises up in the attic, so I'm wondering if I should just nail a board over it. What do you think?

That's interesting! Since there's siding outside, why do you think those tiny slits aren't covered? What's on the other side of them?

Here's where they are located: https://imgur.com/a/hSkUi3v. The siding looks good, so maybe it’s just the gap between two pieces.

If it's a standard ventilated attic, you might not need to worry too much about those slits. It looks like there's siding on the outside, so there probably isn't any real need to patch things up from the inside either. As long as there are no signs of water leaks or pest problems, I'd say leave it be!
