Recommendations for a Lightweight String Trimmer

Asked By SunnySassy99 On

I'm searching for a light-duty string trimmer to help with some minor yard work around my house. As a smaller, older lady, I need something that's not too heavy, won't cost a fortune, and will last more than just a few uses. Any suggestions would be great!

I've had great luck with the Kobalt 40V from Lowe's. It's light but still packs enough power for general trimming tasks.

As a fellow petite lady, I totally recommend the Black and Decker 20V trimmer. It comes with two smaller batteries, making it really lightweight. They don't last super long, but if you have both charged up, it works perfectly for a smaller yard like mine! Just keep in mind, it might struggle with tougher jobs.

That's exactly what we use too! We've managed to handle our 1.5 acres with two 2-amp batteries. Plus, I use those same batteries for other tools like a hedge trimmer and even a small electric chainsaw!
