I have an old LG Flatron W2242S 22" LCD monitor from 2008 that suddenly won't turn on. I tested it about a year ago, and it was working perfectly. Now, when I press the power button, nothing happens, and even the power LED is dead. I have no experience with electronics repair, but I managed to open it up and take a couple of pictures of the main board. Can someone help me figure out if there's anything that can be repaired or replaced? Here are the images: [Image1](https://ibb.co/vW7gMF1) and [Image2](https://ibb.co/zdtPXJF)

It sounds like your monitor might have a few issues. First off, check if you have a multimeter. You’ll want to measure the voltage outputs on the board—specifically the 22V and 5V lines. Also, take a look at the two capacitors labeled C103 and C105. These are often the culprits when a monitor doesn't power on. If they’re bulging or leaking, they need replacement. It's a good idea to test them with your multimeter if you're comfortable doing some basic soldering!

Got it! I do have a multimeter and can do some basic soldering. How do I check those voltage levels? And can I tell if the capacitors are bad just by looking?
