Hey everyone! I'm in the process of finishing up a decorative brick wall, and I've run into some trouble with the mortar application. I bought some mortar from the same place where I got the bricks, and it matches perfectly in color. However, no matter how I adjust the texture of the mix, I can't seem to get it to work with my mortar gun—it always clogs and feels like wet sand. I've tried both drier and wetter mixes, but nothing changes! The store told me I only need to mix it with water. Does anyone have tips on how to get the right texture or any workarounds?

I totally get your frustration! Mortar guns can be pretty tricky. I've had similar issues, and I ended up switching to grout bags instead. They allow for better control and don’t get clogged as easily. Give them a try—I think you'll find them much easier to work with!

Interesting! I might give grout bags a shot. Did you find a specific brand that works well for you?
