Best Way to Create a DIY Shotski from an Old Ski?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to turn an old ski into a fun shotski for parties and get-togethers. I want to know the best method to secure the shot glasses. Is it better to drill partially through the ski and use magnets to hold the glasses, or should I drill all the way through? I'm a bit worried about how secure the shot glasses would be with the latter option. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Old school trick: just use hot glue on the bottom of plastic shot glasses! It’s super easy and definitely keeps them in place. Can't go wrong with a classic method like that.

If you're going for a solid fit, I suggest drilling an oversized hole all the way through and adding a rubber or foam gasket around the edges. That way, you can pressure fit the shot glasses in securely, and it’ll look neat too!

That sounds like a great idea! It'd keep them snug and not worry about any spills.

A Forstner bit with a drill press makes for clean holes if you have access to one. Lots of people go with just a small recess cut out, but if you want extra stability, go all the way through!

Yeah, a clean hole definitely helps with the overall look and fit. Totally worth it!
