My Fridge Isn’t Cooling – What’s Going On?

I just moved into a new home and bought a Kenmore French door fridge with an ice and water dispenser in the door. During the walkthrough, the water wasn't working, but it was fixed by closing. Now, I'm having issues with the ice maker not working, and the fridge is warm overall. The sellers were kind enough to bring in a new GE French door fridge as a replacement, but it's still not cooling properly! Could this be an issue with the power supply, the new fridge itself, or do I need to consider getting another one? Any advice would be appreciated! By the way, the new fridge's ice machine isn't making ice either.

I had a similar issue, and it turned out to be the dirty coils! Check out this video tutorial I found; it helped me and a friend fix our fridges: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBwg9S-SKqE. Cleaning the coils could really make a difference, so give it a shot!

How long has the new fridge been in your place? Sometimes it takes a bit for them to start cooling down after being delivered. If it’s been only 14 hours, it might just need more time to stabilize. Also, make sure the settings are right; freezing at -1°F for the freezer and 34°F for the fridge is good, so you might want to just give it until tomorrow. I totally understand your worry though!

Yeah, I hope that's all it is! Fingers crossed for you!
