I'm thinking about planting Green Giant Arborvitaes in Westchester County, NY, which is in zone 7a. I came across some info saying these trees can reach over 50 feet tall in places like the Pacific Northwest, but I'm curious if they'll stay around 30-35 feet here. I've never seen one in my area taller than that. Is this because of the local climate and conditions? I want to enjoy these trees but prefer they don't exceed 35 feet. Any insights or experiences?

From what I've seen nearby, Green Giants can definitely grow taller than 35 feet. I've got a few in my area, and they're well past that height. If you're worried about them getting too tall, remember you can always trim them back! Just keep their spacing in mind if you're planting multiple.

That's good to know! How far apart should I space them? I'm planning on about 6 feet apart.
