Has Anyone Else Experienced Irritation from Milwaukee Cut Level 5 Gloves?

I've just bought a pair of Milwaukee gloves rated for cut level 5, but they are really irritating my skin after only a few minutes. It feels like they're lined with fiberglass insulation, which is super uncomfortable. Is this a common issue, or could it be an allergy to the material? I've never had this problem with other types of work gloves before, but I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this or found a good brand for carving that doesn't cause irritation. Just to clarify, these gloves are only for hand carving – I don't use gloves with power tools. What do you recommend?

I've heard of people using cotton glove liners if they're sensitive to certain materials. It might help reduce the irritation you're feeling! Just keep in mind you'll probably still need to find a new pair since you mentioned the fit was tight. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn’t considered liners before, but I’ll definitely look into that for my next pair.

If your hands start itching when you're sweating in gloves, it might be the fabric reacting with moisture. I suggest avoiding gloves that don't breathe well. Also, I've used Milwaukee demolition gloves without any problems, so maybe it’s a specific allergy you're dealing with?

Sounds like a contact allergy to me. Have you tried trying a Kevlar glove instead? You might be allergic to the polyethylene in those Milwaukee gloves. Good luck finding something that works for you!
