I'm curious about the light requirements for Haworthiopsis tessellata compared to Echeveria. While I've read that these plants prefer "bright indirect light," I feel like that's a bit vague. I have grow lights that work well for my Echeverias and jades; they keep them compact and nicely stressed. However, my ghost plants don't thrive under the same lights. Based on your experiences, will my lights be suitable for Haworthiopsis tessellata?

I have a few Haworthiopsis, but they’re not tessellata. From what I’ve noticed, they aren't as light-hungry as Echeveria. They should be just fine with the same amount of light you're giving your Echeveria and may even show some sun stress if they like it!
Echeveria is definitely the most light-demanding among succulents, needing as much direct sunlight as it can get. On the other hand, Haworthiopsis prefers a mix of some direct sunlight and more indirect light. In my setup, I have Echeveria on the top shelves getting full sun, while I keep my Haworthia on the bottom shelves, shielded from direct sunlight. That seems to work well! Good luck!
To figure out if your grow lights are enough for H. tessellata, you could try placing the plant closer to the lights. If you notice the plant getting sun stress when it’s thirsty, that's a good sign your lights are sufficiently bright for it!

That sounds like a smart setup! I usually keep my Haworthias at the edge of the bright areas, so they don’t get too much direct light either, and they do well that way.
