Hey everyone! I'm planning to start a small garden with garlic, onions, and potatoes, but I've got some concerns. There are a lot of stray cats around because my neighbor feeds them, and I want to keep them away from my plants. On top of that, I have two dogs, a pit bull and a Doberman, who love to dig! I've considered building raised beds or putting up chainlink fences, but I don't want my garden to be hard to access or look bad. I would really appreciate any suggestions! Also, the dogs dug right through chicken wire, and I can't use sprays or peppers since the pit bull has allergies. Any ideas on how to protect my future garden?

I think the easiest solution might be going for raised beds. That's what we did; we built a kennel off our service door for our dog so he can dig around without ruining my plants. It was a bit pricey since we used six-foot chain link, but at least the dog is contained. Plus, he gets to run around and bark without messing up the garden.

I've been considering building a sandbox for my dog so he has a designated digging area too. Might keep him away from my plants!
