I just got a 48-inch Roubo frame saw kit from Blackburn Tools and I'm about to buy some 8/4 cherry wood soon. As I'm mapping out my build, what are some important things I should consider? Are there any regrets or advice from those who have already built one? Also, do you have preferences for handles versus round knobs? Thanks for any insights!

I used my Roubo saw last night, and it feels like having a huge bandsaw and a rowing machine combined! Just a heads up, cherry can be a bit brash, so make sure to pick straight-grained wood to avoid issues. Also, pay attention to the tension when tightening the blade—it puts pressure on the stretchers. I copied some handle designs from a blog post and they turned out pretty comfortable. Good luck with your build!

That's awesome! Any suggestions on how to use it effectively? I'm thinking of building a Moxon vice to help with work holding.
