How to Dilute Urine for Plant Fertilizer: Tips and Suggestions?

I'm looking into using my urine as a fertilizer for my potted plants, specifically garlic, lavender, rosemary, chives, and sage. I typically urinate around 200-400ml each time. How much water should I add to dilute it for use? I've only used my urine undiluted in my compost bin before, and I'm eager to hear from anyone who's had success with this method.

A common dilution ratio is 1 part urine to 10 parts water, especially for outdoor plants. Just a heads up, I'd avoid using it on any indoor plants, as the smell can be pretty strong!

Using urine on a compost heap is a great idea! It adds nitrogen, which is beneficial for composting. For direct application on plants, especially those you eat, I'd suggest being cautious. Some plants don’t respond well to high nitrogen levels, and the plants you've listed generally prefer less nitrogen. It might be best to use it on more nitrogen-hungry plants like rhubarb or squash instead.

Thanks for clarifying that! I'm concerned about my garlic plants depleting nutrients in the pots. Any tips on how to replenish soil nutrients?
