Hey folks! I'm on the hunt for a good supplier of Austrian scythes, specifically for cutting meadows. I've been searching online but all I've come across are those silly plastic Halloween grim reaper props! My local garden centers don't carry them either. Any recommendations would be super appreciated. Thanks a ton!

Definitely check out The Scythe Shop! I got my full kit from an old-timer who runs it. He even included his phone number for any questions. The website might look a bit old-fashioned, but it’s legit! Here's the link: thescytheshop.co.uk. Just be careful with the blade; I learned the hard way how not to hold it! 😂
Haha, my housemate is convinced I’ll chop my fingers off! Gotta be careful for sure!
Second this! I ordered from him and got a cool booklet about scythes, too. Super informative!

Totally agree! Simon Fairlie is the guy to know. He offers courses that are super helpful, and you'll find suppliers linked on his site. If you're near Somerset, the Green Scythe Fair is a blast and worth the trip!
