I recently sanded a concrete wall in my room, and the dust covered everything—including my Echeverias! After cleaning the leaves, I learned about farina and how vital it is for the plants. Now I'm worried they might struggle since they don't have farina to protect them, but they only get diffused sunlight through a window and I avoid spraying water on the leaves. Should I consider removing some leaves to propagate them? What else can I do to help my plants?

You're worryin' too much! Echeverias can usually handle losing farina. If they're inside with indirect light or under grow lights, they should be fine. Just be careful with watering—avoid getting water in the leaf joints or any wounds. It's a shame about the farina, but they’ll bounce back!
Totally agree! Also, might wanna try bottom watering next time to keep water off the leaves.
Your plants will likely be alright without the farina, even if they look a bit rough until they grow new leaves! For next time, consider showering them if they need cleaning—that typically doesn't remove farina unless you do it a lot. Echeverias are pretty resilient. You could also try gently brushing the dust off or using an air pump, like the ones for cleaning camera lenses.

Thanks for the reassurance! I hate seeing my plants struggle, but this advice helps a lot.
