I recently found a great deal on a carpet cleaner, but it was originally purchased in another country. I'm wondering if the warranty is still valid in my country as long as I have the receipt. Has anyone dealt with this situation before?

In Malta, we must return the item to the store it was bought from and fill out forms. It can be a bit of a hassle, so double-check your local policies! This might differ elsewhere.
From what I've heard, Lidl's warranty is usually quite forgiving. It should cover you even if the item was purchased abroad, but it's not guaranteed. Just keep your receipt handy!
Best bet is to call your local Lidl customer service. They usually require the receipt, but if you don't have it, they can check your purchase history using the app or serial number. Just a heads up, though: dealing with foreign receipts may complicate things a bit.
I actually contacted Kompernass, and they confirmed that the location of purchase doesn't impact the warranty. Just make sure you have your receipt. I can't say if this applies to every manufacturer, though.
