I'm on the hunt for a potentiometer that operates like a digital encoder, where the center part remains stationary while the outer side rotates. It also needs to have a momentary switch. I've bought a few, but none have worked out for me. I know it's possible because I have a device that uses this setup, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If anyone has any suggestions or knows where I might find this kind of part, I would really appreciate it!

I recommend searching for "dual rotary encoder with switch" online. While it seems like a concentric rotary encoder with a switch is hard to find, there's an encoder ring from Bourns that can work with whatever switch you need. Check out the link I found for more options!
Just a heads up, I found the exact part called tosaku re24, but it's super hard to get. You might have a tough time sourcing it.
If you're looking for something where the shaft stays in place but still has some rotational movement, that can be tricky. It sounds like what you need is almost like a push-button with a rotating outer ring instead of the whole thing spinning.

Thanks for that! I actually have a device I’m replicating, and I realized it’s a dual rotary encoder with a switch. Still not sure how they keep the middle part from rotating, so I might need to do some digging. Appreciate the help!
