What type of outlet is this in my sister’s basement?

My sister recently bought a house that was built in 1977, and in the basement, there's this unusual-looking outlet. I think it might be some old phone-related thing, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help identify it? Here's a link to the photo: https://imgur.com/a/hT2v8mN

If we’re talking about something in the USA, it could be a makeshift outlet. Honestly, it might help to remove the cover so we can see what's going on behind it to confirm.

Nah, it's definitely a standard antenna outlet. One side is for the antenna connection, and the other is for the rotor wiring.

That outlet looks like it's meant for a TV antenna and has connections for a rotor to adjust the antenna direction. It's pretty common for older houses.
