Best Finish for an Over-Sink Wooden Cutting Board?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to find a good solution for a cutting board that I keep over my kitchen sink. It's exposed to moisture daily and tends to get humid. I don't actually cut on this board; I mainly use it to set things down, especially when filling pots, and sometimes I place a thin plastic cutting board on top of it.

I initially made a cedar board from scrap wood, which has held up decently, warping only a bit with some mineral oil. Then, I switched to a teak board that I had cut to size, but it warped more than I expected. So, I went back to the cedar board for a few months, and now the teak board has returned to being flat. I'd prefer to use the teak one since it's larger and looks great, but I need a finish to make it completely waterproof, at least on the bottom side.

What do you think is the best way to go about this? It feels like I'm dealing with a tough wooden countertop situation here. Cheers!

If you're set on using your teak board, maybe just coat the bottom and sides with epoxy since the top isn’t exposed to as much water. That way, you can still enjoy the pretty finish without worrying too much about warping!
