I'm working on some battery packs and planning a complete rebuild instead of just swapping out a single cell. Some of these packs also have faulty BMS boards that need to be replaced. I'm in Canada and aside from AliExpress, I'm curious about where others are sourcing their 18650 cells and BMS boards. If you have any other tips or want to chat about battery chemistry or DIY techniques, I'm all for it! Just a heads up though, please skip the comments about being cheap or any safety warnings.

I've tried a few generic empty housings, but honestly, the quality isn't as reliable compared to OEM stuff. So now I’m using nearly new Milwaukee batteries. I basically take them apart and it’s totally worth it for the performance boost with some JP30s in there. Also mixing in my XC3.0 batteries with those six JP30s, and I just grabbed some EVE 50PL 21700s for my next project. Compact batteries that pack a punch!
Even though I'm not from Canada, I absolutely love JP30 18650s! Those tabless 3AH beasts have been my go-to. I’ve thought about buying a lot of those and using them to rebuild my old M12 3.0 packs. That way, they turn into powerful 6.0s!
Where can you get those reliably these days?

Right? Those are a great option! Plus, have you checked out the new EVE 30PL cells? They're pretty impressive too.
