I've just power washed my patio for the first time in five years now that spring has arrived, but I found it to be quite a messy job. Is there any garden work that gets this messy and requires keeping all the equipment organized? Managing to stop the power lead from getting wet while I'm handling both the hose and the gun was a real headache!

Exactly! Having an extra pair of hands makes a huge difference. My wife moves the power and hose while juggling her phone—totally multitasking while I do the washing!
I feel you! I used to dread pressure washing; it was such a pain. Now, I just use a good patio cleaner and spray it on once a year. It keeps everything looking nice without all the fuss!
I always end up soaking the power cable too, but hey, it hasn't killed me yet! Just gotta be cautious, right? Also, it's way easier if you have someone helping out—one person can handle the washer while the other manages the cable and hose!
I totally get what you mean! It's such a hassle. Do you use a power breaker? It can really help mitigate that danger, though I get why you'd prefer not to rely on it.
Yeah, I do have a power breaker but I’d rather just not have to depend on it.

I have two dogs and I haven't found a cleaner that’s safe for them!
