I'm looking for recommendations for a 10" ripping blade for my table saw. I currently have a dedicated crosscut blade, but I'm still using the multipurpose construction blade that came with my DeWalt contractor saw. Is Freud a good brand to consider, or are there better options out there?

Freud, CMT, and Forrest are all solid brands to start with. Freud's actually the premium label of the same company that produces Diablo products (which you can find at Home Depot). I’ve been using Diablo blades on both my table and miter saws without any issues, but results can vary!
I use the Diablo 24T blade, and it worked perfectly for ripping walnut and white oak today. No complaints!
I'm a fan of Diablo and CMT; they're affordable yet decent quality. Not the cheapest, but definitely not bottom of the line.
I recommend the Freud Glue Line rip blade. It’s done wonders for me.
Same here! It works really well.
I personally use CMT and Freud blades. They work great for the money.
The suggestions for CMT and Freud are top-notch. I always keep at least two blades of each type on hand so that I can have one sharpened while using the other. Keeping them clean and sharp is more important to me than sticking to a particular brand. Finding a good local sharpening service can really extend the life of your blades and save you money in the long run.
I'll check out some sharpening services locally. Just ordered the Freud blade and can't wait to try it!
If you're looking for something high-end, check out Ridge Carbide. They’re worth the investment, in my opinion.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll keep it in mind for the future. I already ordered the Freud though!
For anyone new to dedicated ripping blades, any decent quality brand will be a huge upgrade. I've only had one dedicated ripping blade before, a DeWalt, with my DeWalt saw, and it was a game changer!
Exactly! They work so much better than the 40 or 50 tooth blades. The Diablo 24T I got is significantly better than the one I used before.

I didn't know Diablo and Freud were from the same company! I've been using Diablo for my circular saws and love them.
