I'm trying to understand why two DEWALT circular saw kits seem almost identical but have a $128 price difference. One is the Cordless Brushless 4-1/2 in. Circular Saw with a battery starter kit, while the other is the same saw with a smaller battery and charger included. They both share similar model numbers for individual items, so I'm confused about what really sets them apart. Can anyone clarify?

The pricier option comes with a larger 4Ah battery, while the cheaper set has just a 1.7Ah battery. So, you’re paying more for that bigger battery with the costlier kit!
The saws are basically the same, but the more expensive one is a bundle from Home Depot that combines the saw with a battery and charger as a single package. The cheaper option is actually the standard kit from DEWALT. Sometimes bundles can be a better deal, but that’s not the case here!
Thanks. I assumed this was the case.
Just a heads-up, these packages won’t work with the old trick of returning the battery to get the tool for cheaper. They're both non-hackable sets, and that method usually only applies to prorated deals.
I've never heard of this... lol.

I read that probably 30 times and missed that. Thanks for pointing that out!
