12V vs 20V Impact Wrench: Which One Should I Choose?

Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to this tool stuff, but I've realized I really need an impact wrench for some car work. I was really excited about a 12V model with 350Nm torque that I found, but it sold out before I could grab it. Now, Lidl is releasing a 20V green impact wrench with 400Nm torque tomorrow. I'm curious—how does the performance of the 20V compare to the 12V model? I know it's not ideal, but it's all I have to work with right now! Any thoughts?

Honestly, I’ve had a bad experience with the Parkside impact wrench; it seemed to lack power. If you can, I’d go for a pneumatic wrench all day! But if you're stuck with the Green one, I’d suggest breaking in the battery by holding the button down for a bit to get better performance. Also, using CrMo impact sockets can help with torque transfer if you decide to go that route.

No compressor for me, unfortunately. Guess I’ll have to make do with what I can get!

I don’t think there’s a direct comparison video out there, but I’d recommend checking out ‘broke life EU’ on YouTube. They have some videos that showcase both models and share some opinions, though they seemed a bit mixed on the 12V one.

Thanks! I’ll definitely check them out.
