Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a nailer and can't decide between the 16-gauge and the 18-gauge. I'm leaning towards the 16-gauge for various home improvement tasks. What do you think? Any recommendations based on your experiences?

If you're looking for a deal, check out the Rigid pneumatic three-pack! You get a 16-gauge, an 18-gauge, and an 18-gauge stapler all together. I opted for that instead of any battery options because it was a much better price. Grab it while you can from the orange store!

Are you leaning towards battery or pneumatic? If you decide on pneumatic, having both sizes is a great idea—they're not that pricey! But if you're going battery and mostly doing trim, I'd suggest the 18-gauge. The 16-gauge leaves a bigger hole which can be annoying when finishing. Personally, I love my battery nailers since I don't have to mess with a compressor!

It really depends on what you're planning to tackle first! Personally, I find a 16-gauge finish nailer is more versatile than an 18-gauge brad nailer. I mostly use my finish nailer for baseboards, while I rarely touch my brad nailer except for super lightweight jobs.
