I'm really excited about a fun new project: transforming an IKEA SOCKER greenhouse into a mini poison garden! I want to explore the aesthetic and the history of toxic plants while keeping it safe and controlled. Here's my plan: I'll grow small or young versions of plants like Lily of the Valley, Henbane, Belladonna, Hellebore, Baby Foxglove, and maybe Datura. I'll use seeds or cuttings, keep them pruned for compact growth, and label them with tiny gothic signs. The idea is to create a magical forest-apothecary vibe using small terracotta pots or mossy rock planters. I'm looking for advice on a few things: have any of you tried creating a similar setup? Are there miniature alternatives to these plants? Where can I find reliable sources for seeds or cuttings? Lastly, any aesthetic tips to make it witchy without overcrowding the space?

I think this is such a cool idea! Just a heads-up: be careful with the Pencil Cactus if you're considering it for your garden. It has toxic sap that can cause serious issues, especially if it gets in your eyes or if someone ingests it. It's super common but often overlooked. Just something to think about!
Belladonna can be tricky to germinate, so I recommend treating the seeds with GA-3 for better results. You can also find pre-treated seeds from places like J.L. Hudson, which might save you some hassle!
Oh, that’s really helpful! I’ll look into those options for sure.

Thanks for the warning! I’ll keep that in mind, but I love the color of it!
