Hey everyone! I'm looking for some help with my two plants: a Ceanothus (California Lilac, though I forgot the variety) and a Pittosporum (Silver Queen). I planted them in the middle of last year, and they seemed to be doing well initially, but the lilac didn't flower. They survived winter but I'm worried I might have upset them with my pruning. Also, does the Pittosporum need to be in the ground? Any tips?

I would definitely recommend planting the Pittosporum in the ground if it's in a pot right now. The Ceanothus, being covered in gravel, might need some extra attention with watering, especially if it's been dry. Just keep an eye on both and they should bounce back!
It looks like both your plants are struggling. If they're in pots, make sure you're watering and feeding them regularly, plus ensuring they get enough sunlight and protection from the cold. Pots can make it harder for plants to withstand temperature changes, so consider moving them into well-prepared garden soil. They really need good conditions to thrive!
