Hey everyone! I just moved into a property that's about 30 years old, and I've got two patios, each with standard sliding screen doors that probably need replacing. They measure around 36" x 78" and might be the original ones. I'm not very handy with repairs, but I've been looking into replacement options. Unfortunately, the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews. Is there a better choice out there? I'd love to keep costs down, but should I just bite the bullet and invest in a higher quality door? What would you recommend? I just want some decent sliding screen doors so we can enjoy the spring and summer with the doors open!

You could also consider magnetic screens as a cheaper and simpler alternative! They attach to the outside of the door frame and have magnets that keep the opening closed. When you want to go through, you just push it open. They're easy to install, and you can find them on Amazon!
It sounds like your current screen doors are pretty messed up if they can’t slide anymore. You might want to try adding some lubricant if it’s just a matter of them not gliding well, but with damaged casters and a janky repair job, it might be time to replace them.
