Am I Becoming a DIY Horror Story?

Hey everyone, I've come across a ton of posts where simple home projects spiral out of control into full renovations. I had a simple idea to recaulk my shower, but now I'm facing hidden mold and moisture issues. Am I in for an unexpected nightmare? Here are some pictures I took: https://imgur.com/a/pTzgwZf and https://imgur.com/a/wTSAdRt.

Honestly, just clean it up, let it dry, and then recaulk using GE Supreme II caulk. You’ll be amazed at how quick it can be done! Check out this helpful video for tips on the tools you'll need: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DI4hfHM_Hg.

I totally feel you! I just wanted to swap out some old cabinets, and before I knew it, my kitchen was down to the studs and subfloor! It can escalate quickly. Just take it one step at a time and don’t stress too much.

Don't panic! First, try using a hair dryer or heat gun to dry out the moisture. After that, treat the area with a product like 'Mold Armour' and let it dry again. Once everything’s dry, recaulk with a mold-resistant caulk. You should be good to go! Also, make sure you use grout that doesn’t need sealing for the future.
