Am I Being Overcharged for a Fiberglass Door Installation at Home Depot?

I received a quote of $2400 for a fiberglass entry door after they measured my space at 37.625 x 81.375 inches. However, I noticed that a standard 36x80 door typically costs around $1000. Since I live in a townhouse, I doubt everyone has custom doors. Shouldn't the standard option work with some shimming?

It sounds like a standard rough opening measurement. Shimming and trimming are normal practices, so don't stress too much about that. Just make sure to get at least three quotes to compare prices before deciding!
