Am I Being Overcharged for LP Siding Installation?

I'm based in Milwaukee, WI, and I received a quote for $40,000 to install LP siding on my 2000 square foot duplex. Another company quoted me $28,000 for the same job. I'm seeing a big difference in these estimates and I'd love to get some insight on whether this is a typical price range and if anyone else has experienced similar disparities. I'm also planning to get a few more quotes just to compare.

That quote seems a bit high! Just for siding installation in Milwaukee, I think you’re looking at around $10k to $15k less at most. It’s definitely worth shopping around, especially if you can get quotes from several local contractors.

For sure! Just be cautious of companies that quote way higher, it could be a total scam or they're just not competitive.

I got it done for $23k two years ago, but the quotes I got before that were all over the place. Keep getting more estimates! I found that some companies ghosted me, and one came in at $50k! Go with a company that can give you a quote on the spot and has good reviews.

Just a heads up, I had a quote for $58k and through negotiation, I got it down to $52k before I switched to Hardie siding instead. Definitely do your homework before committing to any company.

I paid $35k for my place, which included working on a second story and one wall of the first floor in LP, plus a garage. If your first floor is LP and your house has some contours, your estimate might not be out of the ballpark. It's best to compare with similar-sized houses though.

Exactly! Just see what others have paid for houses that are around the same size and style.
