Hey everyone! I recently hired a contractor to turn my utility room into a bathroom, and I love the results—except for the drywall work at the wall edges. They seem a bit wavy rather than forming a perfect 90-degree angle. My house is from the 1950s, and there's plaster on the wall with the window along with new drywall on the wall containing the mirror. I get where you’re coming from, but honestly, most people won’t even notice those imperfections unless you point them out. I looked at the pictures and had to really focus to see what you were worried about. Just decide if you're happy with the overall work and whether you think you got your money's worth! If you feel you paid a premium for a perfect job, maybe address the issue, but be prepared that your contractor might push back.
It’s tough to get a straight line there since plaster walls age and warp over time. I feel you might be expecting too much perfection. I had a hard time with my baseboards for the same reason—old houses never have straight edges! You could either fix it perfectly and lose space or just add some trim to divert attention.
Look, I think they did a solid job overall. Adding a small shelf or some decor there could mask any imperfections and make it look great! I say just enjoy your new bathroom!
