I just had a new composite deck installed, but the contractor accidentally drove a screw through the top of the picture frame. I've been told that this kind of thing happens, but it really frustrates me since I'm paying a lot for this. Am I overreacting?

Honestly, you're not being too picky at all! If you’re investing in a new deck, you deserve it to be done properly. A good contractor should definitely correct mistakes like this.
Shit happens, but that doesn’t mean you should just accept it. If the contractor caused the damage, they should fix it. It’s part of their job!
