Hey everyone! I'm about to close on my first home, and I just found out I'm responsible for the sidewalk upkeep. ? I didn't know this would be part of being a homeowner! What do you think would be the easiest way to fix any sidewalk issues I might encounter? Here's a link to a picture of the sidewalk: https://imgur.com/a/zIaSBUN

Did they mention if you can remove the sidewalk? If someone told me I had to replace concrete on my property, I’d probably just cover it with grass or take it out! If you do need to fix it, though, you're looking at getting some concrete to patch it up. Just keep in mind, if you're in an HOA like me, you might have to jump through some hoops for approval on any changes.
Are you sure you're on the hook for that? In my city in Texas, if there are sidewalk problems, I just report it online, and the city sends someone out to fix it pretty quickly. It might vary based on where you live, so check your local laws!

Yeah, HOAs can be a real pain with all their rules! It’s good to check what you can do and get all the info ready before tackling any projects.
