Am I Too Late to Start Planting Seeds in Zone 6a?

I'm planning to start some seeds indoors, like tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, and then transplant them outside. I'm wondering if it's already too late to begin this process. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You’re definitely not too late! I’m also in Zone 6a, and I usually start my seeds indoors around the end of March. You’ve still got time!

It's definitely not too late! In fact, I’m also in Zone 6a and have been re-sowing some crops that didn’t take the first time. Just make sure to pay attention to your frost dates. Tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers do take a bit longer to grow, so starting them now is a good idea. Your harvest might just be a little later than expected, but you'll still be fine!

Thanks for the reassurance! I'm excited to get started on everything.

Nope, you're still good! I'm also in 6a and just started my tomatoes this past Monday. For cucumbers, I typically plant them outdoors in late May, and I don’t bother starting them indoors because they tend to do better when direct-sown. But definitely get your tomatoes and peppers going!
