Anyone else frustrated by plant research photos being just close-ups?

I've noticed that when researching plants online, especially in listicles like "25 full-sun perennials that are under 2 ft tall!", the images are often just super close-up shots of flowers. While I appreciate the beauty of the flowers, what I really want to see is the overall plant's size, shape, and foliage. It's a minor annoyance, but it would be great to have more comprehensive pictures to aid in plant selection.

I feel your pain! I often Google not just the flower’s name but something like "name-of-flower in my garden" to get more realistic images.

Good call! I'll definitely give that a shot for my next search.

Totally! It’s so annoying when you just get those macro shots. I really want to see how the entire plant looks from a distance! It helps so much in planning my garden layout.

Exactly! I also try typing in "plant" or "whole plant" in my searches. Also, social media platforms sometimes help with different views in garden tours.

And please, can we get some pics of the plant at different stages? I want to see how it looks when I buy it, too!

Absolutely! It's frustrating how many sites recycle just a few stock photos. And for perennials, I want to see pictures for every season, not just in full bloom!

Right? I saw one that claimed to show winter colors but it was all summer shots!

I hear you! I’ve been trying to find pics on social media lately; sometimes users post their own garden updates!
