Hey guys! So, I've been struggling with a major slug issue in my garden this year. Despite trying to manually remove them twice a day (and it's been pretty dry), I'm still battling slugs that have already taken a toll on my daffodils, chrysanthemums, and senettis. These mature plants look more like skeletal remains now. I also have a bunch of dahlias and sunflowers waiting to be planted and I'm hoping they can survive.
I'm curious if anyone has found any plants that slugs tend to avoid. Do these plants need to be placed right next to or around the ones I want to protect? Since I'm doing container gardening, would it work to have the slug-repelling plants in pots between my vulnerable plants? I'm worried the slugs might just prefer the tasty ones anyway!

I’m not convinced about that. I’ve planted slug-favorites near my more precious plants to divert them, which kind of worked. I’ve been replacing slugged plants with ones slugs dislike, but they still munch on whatever’s nearby! I agree about trying nematodes as well.
Which plants have you found that slugs definitely don’t like? I’ve had nemesia, wallflowers, and lavender survive, but it’s been a trial-and-error process with most everything else getting munched.
