I'm thinking of getting two Renogy 12V 200Ah AGM batteries and wiring them together for my setup. I want to know how well they perform in real life. How long do these batteries typically last for others? If you've used two of them in a similar system, did they both last around the same time?

These batteries are pretty standard and you’ll find similar looking options everywhere. They likely come from just a couple of manufacturers, so you might notice they all look alike at places like Walmart or auto parts stores. I'd recommend getting a local battery if you can, especially if you want a warranty that’s actually helpful—shipping them back can be a hassle.
Definitely go for something local if you can. I had one of these batteries that went bad while still under warranty. Dealing with Renogy was a nightmare—lots of hoops to jump through just to get it replaced. I had to provide tons of proof, and it took forever to get a resolution. It's pretty frustrating, so local might be the way to go.
It’s really tough to say how well they’ll work without knowing their condition when you buy them. Plus, their performance depends a lot on how you’re using them, so it can vary widely between users. Just keep that in mind before you make your decision.

What do you mean by "local battery"? Any specific recommendations?
