I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks about screw lengths! Personally, I find that 2-3/4" screws are my go-to for just about everything around the house. Whether I'm attaching 2x4 to 2x4 or hanging something from the wall, these screws seem to do the trick just right. I also think 1-1/4" screws are a close second for smaller jobs. What do you all prefer?

I'm on team 2-1/2" as well. They seem to work for mounting just about anything to anything. Pretty handy!
I feel like 2-1/2" screws are actually the best option. They have a good balance for various tasks without being overly long. Perfectly versatile!
Can't forget about the 1"-1.5" drywall screws too! They also work well for many general purposes, especially for smaller jobs around the house.
I've got a whole range of screws from 1" to 4.5" in my toolbox. For deck projects, I usually stick to about three sizes, but I can see where 2-3/4" would be a solid choice for general use!
It really depends on what you're using them for. Different projects may call for different sizes, so having a variety is essential. But I see what you mean about the 2-3/4"!
Yeah, having a range helps, but I usually reach for the 2-3/4" too for most tasks!
